Vice Minister Niu Dun met with the Ambassador of Chile Luis Schmidt in Beijing on January 15th 2014. The two sides exchanged views on building a Chile–China demonstration farm in Chile.
The two sides spoke highly of China-Chile Demonstration Farm in Tianjin, approved of its operation mode and agreed to build a similar Chile–China Demonstration Farm in Chile. Niu stated that both sides should work out construction plans and working mechanisms, determine implementation partners as soon as possible to enable an early launch of the construction of Chile–China Demonstration Farm.
Luis Schmidt said that Chile attached great importance to cooperation on Chile–China demonstration farms. Chile is willing to provide any possible assistance and make joint efforts with the Chinese side to promote cooperation on Chile–China demonstration farms.
